Research- Questionnaire 1- Results

I asked 20 children between the ages of 9-14. I asked 8 Boys and 12 Girls. I asked this particular group of children because they fit to my target audience

Favorite TV Show-

This chart tells me that Tracy Beaker and Young Dracula are the two most popular TV Programmes. Also it tells me that Byker Grove is not the favorite.

When I create my Children's Drama I know that School Based Drama's which focus on a large collective of characters aren't as popular as ones which focus on one or two main characters.

   

  

  

Characteristics of Characters

 This chart tells me that the most popular characteristics that appeal to those i questioned were Likable, Nice Funny Loud Bubbly.

When creating my characters i hope to be able to incorporate these ideas.

Problems/ Issues faced by characters

This chart shows me that the 3 main issues that my target audience want the main characters to face are Bullying, Issues with school and issues with friends, I believe these are the most popular because they are more common issues to relate to. 

I hope to be able to incorporate some of these ideas into my plot as i believe that my target audience will be more likely to enjoy my drama if i include issues that many of them will have or will face in the future.

Location / Setting

This chart shows me that the two most popular locations are School and the Town. When creating my drama i will try to set my plot in one or both of these locations, I might also use a house as a setting also, although this did not receive such a positive reaction as the other two locations.














When I am producing my Childrens Drama I will incorporate similar ideas to the one that my target audience favored in this case similar to Tracey beaker; live action focusing on one or two main characters and following a continuous story, I have chosen to do this as according to this questionnaire it is the most positive way of marketing my new drama to my target audience.
